ON MULTIFRACTAL THEORY APPROACH TO THE CLUSTERING OF EPICENTERS

Abstract

We study clustering properties of actual and artificial flows of seismic events. The distribution of clusters by number of events is investigated in terms of multifractal technology. We show that clustering parameters of actual seismic flows can be well approximated by the relevant parameters of multifractal seismic flow models.
